The Geldenhuys Suite is a luxurious, spacious room with furniture from the past centuries when the kingdoms were in power in Europe. The Suite has a full-length gilded mirror with a combination of rose, oak, and emboya wood furniture. A bronze chandelier hangs from the exposed trusses, and the blackout curtains with sun filters in the windows are sure to guarantee a good night’s rest. In addition to the shower in the bathroom, there is also a free-standing tub complete with candles. The dining room table comes from Grandma Marie, and in the Satinwood antique wardrobe is from Belgium. The original art in the room is proudly South African, and the eclectic combination of old and modern gives the room timeless tranquillity. Outside on the veranda where the lavender landing embraces the pool, is a bistro table and two chairs with cushions for coffee and rusks moments.

Our Country in the City experience is conveniently located in Johannesburg.
Sandton is a mere 5,9km drive, the city Centre is 8,2km and the Rosebank precinct 4,5km. This places you well for any Uber, Gautrain, or self-drive options and 8-15 minutes from any metropolis.
The Guesthouse Suites are named after the families that established the Peach farm in the late 19th century. You may find yourself staying in the Geldenhuys, Van der Linde, or Bezuidenhoudt Suite.
The Suites look unto the pool, surrounded by the luscious water-rich garden, and are decorated with oriental carpets, original and photographic art, antique wardrobes, and fresh flowers.
Your Suite’s access is separate, and the King-size, percale cotton linen bed is en-suite to a full bathroom (shower and bath), inviting you to rest and restore your soul. If you want to draw a bath with bubbles to relax with a glass of something to compliment the moment, let us know.
Recharging is at the order of the day. Coffee and tea for your comfort is a kettle-boil away in the suite with a full kitchenette. Milk, and filtered still water in the fridge, a cookie jar filled with the infamous Lavender Farmhouse tea biscuit is there to make your stay even more satisfying.
Breakfast is served on a tray in your room between 07h00 to 09h00. You can let Gert or Meriam know either upon arrival or the day before by 17h00 what time suits you best and how you like your eggs and toast.
You are welcome to visit the restaurants in the area – all walking distance from The Farmhouse Carus Gardens. Your choice includes a range from family (pizza, pasta, and burgers) to social dining (a modern take on fine dining).
If you would like some company at home instead, you can join your hosts, Matt and Gert, by making an arrangement on the same day by 10h00. Life does happen, so there are no guarantees the gentlemen are home. For a party of four, you may invite guests, and we would prepare a wine-paired two-course dinner that carries a charge of R350/person. Apéritifs are served at 18h30, dinner follows at 19h00.
We will share the access details with you upon arrival. For your and our Ciber-safety, the access details are changed intermittently.
We welcome you to our world daily from 14h00 to 19:00.
We know your future journeys onwards will take you where you are destined to go, so on the day of your departure, check-out is at 10h00. If, for some reason, you require to stay later than check-out, please arrange the safe keeping of your luggage with us.
We will be preparing the room you enjoyed for our next guest, and should you wish, depending on availability, you can book a suite for an additional night.
It happens that you may need to on your way before breakfast on your departure day. Gert will see you off and receive your keys when you make the arrangements.
